A bit about Building Traders

Building Traders consists of a local, close-knit team of experts. With plenty of experience in the building sector, we recognize the dangers of ill fitting, dodgy or decommissioned building materials. Thus, both our new and recycled products are all carefully selected by us before we sell them on to you. We personally inspect each piece before resale to ensure they are of the utmost quality and are best suited to your needs for whatever build, renovation or project you have on the go. Our History

In 1997 Gordon Mc Kenzie started Building Traders across the street on Craig Place. The Business grew and grew and was relocated to our current location at 37 Katere Road. In March of 2018 Peter and Belinda purchased Building Traders from Gordon and have now developed it to what it is today.

Pete and Belinda purchased Building Traders in March 2018. Pete’s knowledge of the DIY building trade is extensive as he has been working in the building trade for most of his life. He is very approachable and is willing to help you wherever he can. You can find him on the floor, in the office, behind the counter or delivering products. He can also purchase your recyclable goods. Pete values your custom and also the relationships he has gained with our suppliers.

Owner/Finance Administrator

Belinda is Pete’s partner and is part owner of Building Traders. Belinda is friendly and helps the office run smoothly. You can find her either in the office or behind the counter serving customers. She is highly skilled at managing invoices and completing bank reconciliations.
